H.O.P.E. stands for Help Our Parish Educate. This program provides funds for educational programs in our parish. You can purchase gift cards for grocery stores, restaurants, discount stores, and retail stores, which are available in the Business Office as well as after Sunday Masses. These gift cards work just like cash, and the parish receives a rebate ranging from 2% to 20% from participating businesses. If you have a child enrolled in St. Gerald School or Family Formation, you can earn up to 2% of your purchases back to offset tuition fees.

Place your order online at H.O.P.E. Gift Card Order Form. If an online order is placed after 4 pm on Friday, the order will not be available for pickup until Monday.

What is H.O.P.E?

• The H.O.P.E. program was established in 1992 as a way of supplementing income for St. Gerald's Parish and Educational programs, including 5 Day School and Family Formation.
• The H.O.P.E. program is designed to allow individuals to support the parish by using selected vendor gift cards for everyday purchases.

How does H.O.P.E. work?

• The parish purchases large quantities of gift cards from various local vendors at a discount.
• The parish sells the gift cards at the dollar face value of the card.
• The parish earns the profit from the discount received from the vendor

How are the profits used?

• Profits are distributed to assist with the general operating costs of the 5-Day School and Family Formation.
• Annual allotments are also made available to fund special projects or purchases for the above-listed programs.
• Profits are made available to qualifying families to offset tuition fees for 5-Day School and Family Formation programs.
• A minimum of $500 per quarter must be purchased
  • $500-$2000/quarter = 1% tuition discount (paid directly to Parish Business Office)
  • $2000 & up/quarter = An additional 1% tuition discount for amounts over $2,000 (paid directly to Parish Business Office)
  • Relatives & friends can apply credit to tuition accounts through their purchases

How do I participate?

• H.O.P.E. gift cards are sold at the H.O.P.E. window after all weekend masses (96th & Q).
• H.O.P.E. gift cards may be purchased at the Parish Business office Monday-Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.
