Interviews on Spirit Catholic Radio and The Morning Blend

Katie Moran, the tour director for the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima was interviewed on Spirit Catholic Radio. You can listen to the broadcast here.

In addition, our own Father Michael Voithofer was interviewed on television on The Morning Blend about Fatima and the opportunity we will have to host the statue at St. Gerald. Watch the interview here!

Click on image to pop up a full sized version of this image. Be sure to see Our Lady of Fatima Statue, located in St. Gerald Chapel on the west wall at 96th and Q streets. Fr. Mark blessed the statue as well as the rosary in her hands. For the 100th anniversary of the apparitions in 1917 of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal , Pope Francis has granted a plenary indulgence opportunity throughout the entire anniversary year which will end Nov. 26, 2017.

One way to obtain a plenary indulgence is to pray in front of a statue of Our Lady of Fatima on the 13th of the month now through November, as the 13th of the month was the day Our Lady appeared to the three Fatima children from May 1917 through November 1917. This is done along with fulfilling ordinary conditions: going to confession and Communion, praying for the intentions of the Holy Father and being detached from sin.

Pamphlets explaining more completely what Plenary Indulgences are, other ways to obtain them, and requirements for attaining them are available next to the statue in the chapel or can be downloaded here. The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will visit St. Gerald, 96th and Q streets Tuesday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
